Urbai 2013

Aim

The leverage of digital networks and mobile technology with sensing capabilities is making possible to develop technology that enables cities to provide better urban services. For instance, to empower citizens to participate in public-life and decision-making, and to enable to trace human behavior and mobility patterns to inform the urban design process. The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum to gather technology experts and practitioners contributing towards the assessment, development, and deployment of Ubiquitous and Ambient Intelligence (AmI) on the urban domain. The workshop will act as a forum to present and discuss recent results and on-going research. The expected results are twofold: to find out how the emergence of the Ubiquitous and AmI paradigms influence the future of urban smart environments and to promote interdisciplinary collaboration on the subject.
